کاردینال لارنس ماموریت می‌یابد یکی از مخفی‌ترین و قدیمی‌ترین رویدادهای جهان، انتخاب پاپ جدید، را رهبری کند. پس از آنکه قدرتمندترین رهبران کلیسای کاتولیک از سراسر جهان گرد هم می‌آیند و در تالارهای واتیکان محبوس می‌شوند، لارنس خود را در مرکز یک توطئه می‌یابد و رازی را کشف می‌کند که می‌تواند بنیان کلیسا را به لرزه درآورد.

Synopsis (English)

After the unexpected death of the Pope, Cardinal Lawrence is tasked with managing the covert and ancient ritual of electing a new one. Sequestered in the Vatican with the Catholic Church’s most powerful leaders until the process is complete, Lawrence finds himself at the center of a conspiracy that could lead to its downfall.
