داستان امپرسیونیستی یک خانواده تگزاسی در دهه ۱۹۵۰. این فیلم سفر زندگی پسر بزرگ، جک، را از معصومیت کودکی تا سال‌های سرخوردگی بزرگسالی‌اش دنبال می‌کند، در حالی که او تلاش می‌کند رابطه پیچیده‌اش با پدرش را آشتی دهد. جک خود را روحی گمشده در دنیای مدرن می‌یابد و در حالی که وجود ایمان را زیر سوال می‌برد، به دنبال پاسخ‌هایی برای ریشه‌ها و معنای زندگی است.

Synopsis (English)

The impressionistic story of a Texas family in the 1950s. The film follows the life journey of the eldest son, Jack, through the innocence of childhood to his disillusioned adult years as he tries to reconcile a complicated relationship with his father. Jack finds himself a lost soul in the modern world, seeking answers to the origins and meaning of life while questioning the existence of faith.
