خلاصه داستان (فارسی)

یک دختر جوان بریتانیایی که در هند به دنیا آمده و بزرگ شده است، والدین بی‌توجه خود را در یک زلزله از دست می‌دهد. او به انگلستان بازگردانده می‌شود تا در قلعه شوهر خاله‌اش زندگی کند. شوهر خاله‌اش به دلیل از دست دادن همسرش در ده سال قبل بسیار سرد است. او که بار دیگر نادیده گرفته شده، شروع به کاوش در املاک می‌کند و باغی را کشف می‌کند که قفل شده و مورد بی‌توجهی قرار گرفته است. او با کمک یکی از پسران خدمتکار، شروع به بازسازی باغ می‌کند و در نهایت به برخی از اسرار دیگر عمارت پی می‌برد.

Synopsis (English)

A young British girl born and reared in India loses her neglectful parents in an earthquake. She is returned to England to live at her uncle's castle. Her uncle is very distant due to the loss of his wife ten years before. Neglected once again, she begins exploring the estate and discovers a garden that has been locked and forgotten. Aided by one of the servants' boys, she begins restoring the garden, and eventually discovers some other secrets of the manor.
